Volunteers needed for the forgotten green space huntSubmitted by BANG admin 23 July 2008 The Broomhill Community Garden Trust wants to identify and catalogue any small areas of green space in Broomhill. These are small areas of land that don’t appear to belong to anyone in particular – areas left over between buildings, beside roads or even behind houses. They may make a valuable contribution to the local scene, providing space for trees and wildlife. Interested?? Find out more HERE.... Secret Garden planning appeal DISMISSED!!! Submitted by BANG admin 23 June 2008 BANG's campaign to save the Tapton Experimental Garden was taken to the public inquiry held in the first week of June in the Town Hall, during which the University and Miller Homes appealed against the Council's decision to refuse planning permission. Pay your BANG subs (or make a donation) using PAYPAL Submitted by BANG admin 28 May 2008 At the Annual General Meeting of BANG on tuesday 13th the thorny issue of BANG finances was discussed. The campaigning that we have done over the last year has involved a lot of additional expenditure, much of which was funded from the very generous donations received from BANG members. Nevertheless, the meeting felt that if we were to continue our campaigns we needed to make it easier for people to pay their voluntary subscriptions (£10 suggested) or to make donations for specific campaign issues such as our Secret Garden campaign. So to make sending us money easier we have set up a PAYPAL facility and we hope that it will make it easier for both members and for the Treasurer! More information here... |
