News S10 (March 2005), which deals with local planning issues, is now available from libraries, post offices and shops.

A new Student village for 5000 students is planned in the Broomhill/Ranmoor area
substantially increasing the density of students in this part of the city.
If implemented as indicated in the planning proposal of October 2004, the plan would mean major change to the townscape in the Endcliffe Crescent Conservation Area and its surroundings. The planning application also implies the development is likely to result in substantial loss of tree cover and, therefore, of the local biodiversity at present supported by that vegetation.
If you are a local resident, or run a local business which might lose out if the Hub is developed as shown in the planning application, BANG would like to encourage as many of you as possible to write to the Council with your objections as soon as possible
. Click here for latest information.

It would be useful if you could also
let BANG (Broomhill and Neighbourhood Action Group) know your opinions on the topic
