What is 'A Taste of Broomhill'?

MenThis community event will involve the whole of the Broomhill District Centre. At 'The Mount' there will be an outdoor market showcasing quality local food producers and suppliers. 'The Mount' will also be the focus for local food trails and other food activities around the Broomhill centre, which will allow people to explore our area and sample foods from the many cafes, restaurants and shops.

A smoothie bike, soup making kits, picnics and cream teas are all activities on the agenda and with live music to make the event go with a swing we feel really positive that this will be a fun day out for everyone.

What are food trails?

You will get a map showing a number of 'Taste Stops' where you can sample a food fair speciality. When you finish the trail you can vote for your favourite. Categories may include:

The Festival Bun - a sweet cake, cup cake or bun of some kind that sums up the flavour of Broomhill.

The Festival Banger - a locally-produced sausage or other savoury that showcase the variety of tastes on offer in Broomhill's cafés and restaurants.

The Festival Ale Trail – speaks for itself. A chance to sample something special in our many pubs.

There will be a prize draw for food trail participants, win a meal at one of our local restaurants!
